6/8-6/14

This weekend I finally went out! It was fun to say the least. We went to a club called penthouse it was nice! At work this week I did some usual research and administrative tasks.I also went to the farmers market on Thursday! it was so delicious. I lovedddd the food. Here is a pic of them preparing my pulled pork! AND YES, THAT IS A WHOLE PIG!!! YUMM!

6/1-6/7

AHHHHHH my birthday week!!! As they say in the U.S TURNN DOWN FOR WHAT?? or in Naija KWUSI MAKA GINI?!! LOLOLOL 

Ahhhhhhhhh my birthday was June 2nd and mannn was it awesome to turn 21! I didn't do anything cool but it was just the fact that it was my bday that was epic. 

Work this week was typical. I did a lot of research and was exited to know that I would get permission to go to the VIP briefing by the Nigerian high commissioner on the 17th at the Nigerian High commission! pretty cool if you ask me.

On the weekend I was supposed to go visit my cousin and go out, but that was a complete and utter fail because I left my passport and ID at home and she lives an hour away *sighhh* so instead we watched movies and the next day she took me to Oxford street where we window shopped because London is ridiculously expensive lmaooo

5/25-5/31

This week was pretty epic! My internship hadn't started so, this was the first time I decided to really go explore London and of course it was with my fiend Jessaline! Love her! We had the typical touristy day which consisted of:

1. Being shocked that Big Ben was actually pretty small
2. Messing with the Queen's Guards 
3. Asking Londoners where we could find "the Queen"
4. Getting lost on our way to find the tram system for about an hour
5. Eating overly priced but delicious London food
6. Hanging out with my cousin from London and her taking us to the "shopping centre" as they would say, going to eat some pretty good Brazilian cuisine, and then watching a movie at the movie theaters.

Later in the week I had a rendezvous with my friend Andrew as well and of course we had to be typical Americans and we went to TGIF Fridays to eat lunch then we walked around the Victoria area. We then decided it would be a good idea to find out exactly where my internship was located so we did that and hen got stuck in a crazy downpour. We were soaked. But it was okay because we found out where my internship was lol (;

My internship finally started at the Royal African Society and I absolutely love it here!! <3
